How a piece is made

Model
Every showpiece starts as a 3D file, drawn to hold its shape without excess material.

Slice
The model is cut into hundreds of thin horizontal layers, stacked along the Z-axis.

Build
The printer lays each pass by hand-tuned settings until the piece stands finished.
